    Yep, I dislike that feature either way. If I want to run the UMD in the drive I would much rather start it myself.

    And does anyone know if the drive spins at all even if the UMD is not in use? I swear I can hear mine here and there when playing with other apps and games. Seems to me to be a waste of battery if that's the case.

    well, if it helps until a prx is made, i remember someone saying that if you change it from reboot xmb to reboot umd itll go to the (emulated) xmb with an error message, then you can do whatever you want

    yes thats true but sometimes psp can freeze at sony logo.
