    Default harley g loading ir shell at start

    how can i have my custom firmware set to load ir shell on start? i know theres a way but i dont want to mess anything up so i figured id ask someone else.............

    cool. if anyone else wants to know all you have to do i change the config file in MS_ROOT/PSP/SYSTEM to the eboot in the certain directory

    mine only goes if i hold down x when i start up but i kinda like it that way. feels like i have 3 firmwares...... 1.5, 2.71 and shell

    who needs custom firmware - its too risky.

    even to unbrick because of bad themes - you could just stick your theme into devhook and test it that way (works for me).

    I don't see any other reason for having it.

    There are many options a custom firmware has compared to an emulated one in Devhook. If you have a custom firmware, it'll be flashed, so you more than likely will keep X-Flash, PSPSet, or whatever, on your PSP, and customize it, rather than just emulation. You can change font, text, disable stuff, spoof higher versions... it's great.
