Oh great, So history will once again repeat itself with Sony Playstation consoles. The PS1 had problems and I had to get a 2nd one. THe PS2 had problems and I had to get a 2nd. Now its possible that the initial "launch" PS3's may have problems. It will be unacceptable if a $600.00 piece of consumer electronics fails after a short while.

If you read the parent article of this, the author explains ALL consoles were having issues, not just PS3. Its just that the world hates Sony for some reason, so its a huge deal...

There is a reason computer labs with 30+ computers in them have AC...

Hopefully they have this problem ironed out by Nov17th. I am buying it no matter. What if we have problems after we buy this thing? Will SONY replace defective models? They better.

ok ya guys are on crack launch systems always and i say always have issues dont get gas just because its 600 bucks and come on now its sony seriously you be lucky to have that system still working by the end of 2007. People who buy launch systems are known to be beta testers for the company keep that in mind so if you were smart i keep away from any heavy tech at launch any heavy new tech so the nintendo wii doesnt count because its not really advanced in hardware to worry about it.
