I don't like t3h future firmware setup!

I do NOT like the idea of buying UMDs and crap to get all of the new features working--here is how I envisioned the new XMB:

SETTINGS
USB Connection
Video Settings
Sound Settings
Date and Time Settings
System Settings
Security Settings
RSS Channel Settings
Network Settings

PHOTO
Chotto Shot
Memory Stick

MUSIC
Talkman Sound Record
UMD
Memory Stick

VIDEO
Chotto Shot

Memory Stick

Game Sharing
Saved Data Utility

UMD Update
Memory Stick

NETWORK
Network Update
GPS Map Viewer
LocationFree Player
Chotto Chat
RSS Channel
Internet Browser

So there you have it. In my opinion, it is MUCH more convenient and easy to navigate, since I believe that the UMDs should only be for game and video purposes, not applicational. Also, it only seems logical that "Network Update" would be placed under "Network", no? Though I don't know how all of the GPS maps would store onto the flash memory. Are there maps stored on the positioning satellite(s) that the PSP could download while viewing your location?

I totally agree. UMD's suck. Give us programs that run from the memory stick. Oh wait, that would open up the possibility of somebody finding a loop hole and running homebrew. Oh NO!
