The reason why DS's sales reached over 100000, is because of the latest release of the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl game, Nintendo just added insult to the current injury to PSP, thats quite smart of them, to hit sony where its hurting alot now, especially before the release of ps3 and the ps1 capability on psp.

All people will own a DS Lite some day in the future.

And if the devs finally see how many people actually own a DS Lite, then they will not choose to develop for the PSP. But this is already happening, the DS Library is growing stronger and stronger with only exclusives while the PSP only get's lame ps2 ports that cost nothing to make.

Will the same happen with Wii vs. PS3 ?

DSL has gone up from last week by a lot.

People probably buy xboxes over there just to see their number on that list.

Most likely, Sony charges a crap load of money for a dev kit, more so than Nintendo. I see a big transition for this generation, Nintendo will take the top spot all they way around.
