The readme is unclear, some of the terms are unfamilair such as "bootstrap" (???)
So I put in a sony update as UPDATE.PBP along with the other files that came in the recovery folder? Is that it? I just need concise confirmation. Just want to reduce the risks cloudyboy....You and your sarcastic blue face, eat it. :P

I see the tut, but it doesnt clear the recovery thing up, I sort of understand it, but not entirely...
yeah nothing about the recovery (still waiting 30 minutes now)
lol if I did that I'd go completely insaneOriginally Posted by Kramer
anyway I formatted the memory stick and if I remember right there was an important file that the custom firmware needs or wants or uses that I no longer have.
so I dunno what a restart would do...
Oh great, I just got it charged and went to select the firmware program and there's some PSP Update ver X.YZ now. I assume the prog made it when I first tried to run it. Should I remove it or run it or run the original program?
This keeps getting worse and worse and I'm thinking of backing out.
EDIT: Nvm, I think that's the recovery program I just slapped on there. In fact, I'm sure it is.
Although I'm still nervous about doing this...gah I just don't know
i did this n its greatonly does anyone know a devhook version that works fine with this? 0.44 didnt work..not in /psp/game not in /psp/game150 ( it booted, but i cant press any buttons, like its crashed or sumthin..) so anyone know what devhook to use with this?
Alright I did it and it seems to have worked! Scared the $#@! out of me when it hit that blue screen with all the languages but now everything is A-OK!
Gona test some homebrew on it ina minute, system software shows 2.71 SE-A
I sincerely reccomend everyone read and use the tutorial on page 10 it did a world of good for me.
By the way I didn't see anyone post this, but it might need to be mentioned incase somthing bad happens

Yes thats very important. I almost went ahead with an incomplete one, the program cut off and there was no warning or notice. Lucky I tried it again to make sure, otherwise I would have had a Brick.Originally Posted by Datahax
So everyone make sure the data.dxar file is the size datahax said, thats the one that worked for me...
