Dark_Alex 2.71 Special Edition - Revision A custom firmware Released

I did the 2.6 to 1.5 downgrade and now have a red screen in the backgroud instead of this months Orange. Homebew runs fine but my icons are blocky. I know this has nohting to do with this tread but I have no where else to turn. What can I do/is my PSP in danger?

The red background could always be changed in the theme section of the settings

Can someone send me this SE firmware dumped? I want to try to run it on DevHook and throw everything in the right folders. . . . I'm sure if we could decrypt 2.81 we can decrypt this firmware. . .

Depending on how it works, a simple dump might not be able to be emulated. Plus, there is more to it, then "just in the right folders". If it was that simple, 2.81 would be emulated by now.

i agree with cloudy, devhook has to be tweaked in order for it to emulate another firmware

ok.. heres the deal.

ive got a brand new 1.5V console and from my observations it seems to be a TA-082 console. ( i didnt even realise that the TA-082 consoles came as v1.5's)(can anyone veryify this). i was wondering if i could upgrade to Dark_Alex's 2.71 XMB Homebrew firmware or not.

the predicament is that i dont want to brick my psp, i can run homebrew and iso images not problem but i want the functionality of the 2.0+ firmware, liket he multimedia capeabilities and such.

anyone have any suggestions ?
can i still run iso's if i upgrade firmware?
can i even upgrade my ta-082 with legit sony firmware or does ta-082's only have downgrading issues?

weird u have a 1.5 TA-082 mobo psp?!?! where'd u get that from? and to answer ur question i'd talk to Dark_AleX himself, send him an e-mail(might take a while for him to respond but that's what i would do if i were u, don't want u to end up with a brick)...did u buy that psp from Ookm?

p.s. just did it and i can see why everyone thinks this is gunna be the golden firmware(after the mods/additions are added/released), for the first release i'm impressed good work DA keep it up

Now having this for one day it's getting bored already (I always want to tweak things, that's why I sended my psp 4 times to SONY now).
Can I modify this fw with X-flash... or another.
