I think it should have been wise to reflash to 1.5 first, having a clean install, with no erroneas files on the flash. Did you run the firmware dump helper on your psp while it still had the old gameboot and the Dark_Alex custom firmware installed?

It is best that you do a clean reflash of 1.5 first, by upgrading then downgrading using Dark_Alex's generic downgrader as far as I know. That way you will be sure there will be no custom mods on it.

Yest the old RCO not the gameboot itself, just the letters PSP were already installed and Dark_Alex's Firmware was installed.

If this is why it's brick I think a little change to the readme in in order.

No mods will make a difference because it wipes the flash before it writes the new firmware.

Okay, still nobody has laid out what benefits this provides.

Please anyone, why would anyone want to use this? I don't pretend to be smarter than Dark_AleX so this must have some great benefits if it was developed, but what? And for who?

Is this for 1.50 firmware users or 2.71 firmware users?

Or more simply, what makes this better than using DevHook on a 1.50 to fully emulate 2.71 firmware? Alls you need to do is press HOME + START to return to 1.50 firmware.

If someone can more accurately describe who this is best suited for I'd really appreciate it.

are you getting a green light? if so, hold R while turning on the PSP and see if you can get into recovery mode...
