It's not foam near the disc input (above the SD memory card slot). It's in fact a sycronisation buttton (which the wiimote also has when you open the battery compartment. There must be some kind of protection sticker or something covering it on this picture. There is a nice video that shows you the wiimote and actual console in detail. Some of you have probably seen it before but here it is just in case.
