best way ive found to downgrade is to update to 2.71 then down to 1.5
ive done that to loads of my mates psp's
its safe coz it either executes the whole of the code or none of it. so no chance of a brick unless no battery
I just downgraded my mates psp from 2.01. I used the 2.01 downgrader to go from 2.01 to 1.0 then the update from 1.0 to 1.5, it worked perfectly for me just a shame my own psp is 2.71 with a TA-082 board.

isn't there the new v2.71xe or something like that which allows u to run homebrew on the v2.71fireware so it is like having v1.50 but with the features of v2.71
thanks for that will use the 2.71 downgrader, where can i find the 2.71 updaterOriginally Posted by S34MU5
You can get the 2.71 easy updater here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755
Connect your PSP via USB, turn up your speakers, and run this Windows executable
PSN ID: splodger15
its also much easier to use the full 2.71 dg because u dont have to mess around with all the file placements
Can anyone tell me how to update to 2.71? I downloaded Eboot file. Where do I put it?
That would be 2.71 SE and 1.5 is required to install it.Originally Posted by triple_m
Create an UPDATE folder in ms0:/PSP/GAME, and put the EBOOT there.Originally Posted by Cheyzak

Do I need to upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade to 1.50 or is it glitch-free version?
If I need to downgrade which is the safest way to downgrade from 2.00?
Thanx in advance.
If you want to downgrade from 2.0 use MPH's downgrader. It's been out for quite a while, and I've used it numerous times myself. You can find it here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/3Originally Posted by Cheyzak
