Reply With QuoteThose XCM faceplates are horrible, I bought one a few months back to replace my oem screen. The thing wouldn't fit snug on my psp and it was made out of really cheap plastic. It also came with a bunch of scratches on the screen so I just ended up not using it.

PSP Faceplates
Does anyone know much about psp faceplates? I'm thinking about getting a silver psp faceplate. It looks cool, I think I can install it. Are they as robust as a normal faceplate? It's an xcm.
P.S. The normal buttons fit this plate, right?

they are easy to install. well maybe not that one coz of what bigmace said.
but i saw a really nice Matt black one. it was smudge free etc and they had red and black mix and match buttons it looked smart.

yes u have to void the warranty but after u open psp's enough times u stop worrying about it :P

So what brand of these replacement faceplates is the best?
I'm thinking of replacing mine since I'm gonna have to replace the dpad rubber.Up has become a lot less responsive

Yeah, I was wondering how the buttons fit into this faceplate. I've heard that the original buttons don't fit on asterix plates, but xcm will work.
