PSP Firmware 3.0 Wishlist ?

On my wishlist would be

-PSOne emulator
-Sony mail
-send and recive funtion for savedata
-WMV playback allowed
-A choose your own font option
-Voice over IP
-java supported
-shockwave supported
-A paint program
-A notepad program
-A rename files option added under photos, music and video
-A password protect feature for your psp system
-An animated screensaver option has been added
-A screensaver option has been added
-An auto disable UMD on startup option
-WAV is now supported under music
-An Instant messenger app has been added under network called sony messenger
-An organizer app has been added
-a calculator app has been added
-a luaplayer app has been added
-8MB memory cards are now supported

only if about 95% of those things are in the 3.00 update then i would update

the only thing your missing man is using the memory stick for cache memory so that you can load any page in the web browser, bigger stick you have the better, and also flash player 8 support for the browser so that you can watch google video or youtube on your psp, add everything you listed with what i said and the psp will be perfect

Why ppl worried bout PS1 emu? There gonna make u pay for games uve already bought once. that im not lookin 4ward to (AC will give us a good PS1 emu neways) but if suprised only 1 person sed DIVX support, that be a good 1.......

i don't really care wut 3.0 has to offer.. cause i'll never upgrade(cept if Dark_Alex makes a 3.0 SE like he did with 2.71) but i just hope that the power stone collection and GTA:VCS doesnt requre it.

Hmm... had another thought (wow, 2 today).
Sony might smack 3.0 on the Vice City Stories UMD. It would make perfect sense... seeing as GTA:LCS sold like hotcakes.

If I were Sony, that would be my strategy.

Hmm. all recent games, including brand new ones like GUN have just 2.71 firmware and to build up stock of 100,000 - 1,000,000 or more units (GTA: VCS copies) to be prepared for launch, the game would have had to have been through a FINAL BUILD to implement the 2.81 prx's & update.

I think we may luck out with all of the games coming out in October being just 2.71. I can't wait until tomorrow for Ace Combat.

Homebrew option of course

more codecs for video playback(avi would be nice)

cell phone service capabilities(cmon psp should have this.... it would make it more sik than it is )

wireless file transfer( not jsut photos, like game saves, songs, other data ect.... and not juss between psp's, make it from psp to computer like ir shell does )

brodcast tv without location free( thats soo bad.... who the hell is gonna pay 100 buks juss to watch tv on ur psp?)

p.s and whateva emuking has.... too cool n saves typin space

-a better flash player in the browser
-the ability to view streaming video from the internet (Google Video, YouTube, etc.)
-homebrew support (one can dream)
-increased support with more video and audio file types (.wmv, .avi, .wav, etc.)
-memory card caching, allowing larger sites to be viewable via the browser
-audio for the web browser (am I the only person with no audio for flash or am I just crazy?)
-an IM!!
-Email!!
-.rar and .zip archive support
-pie
-more demos of commercial games
-more pie
-FULL KERNEL support

sheesh why is everyone saying full homebrew upport? you know its not gonna happen. and you know you havent beaten sony at their own game so what makes you think theyre gonna give in?and as for the homebrew psone emu i dont think its gonna reach 100%. so im looking to get my hands on the psone emu for the psp and the videochat. and im curious to find out what the conectivity with the ps3 will be.

Sony would make a lot more money if they allowed homebrew and didn't allow pirating. What I really want is more personalization and more tools. a notepad, sketchpad, visuals in the MP3 player, music and pictures at once, more formats in video support, etc. That is what I would like to see in the future of the PSP.
