No, just I've seen no post where you helped anyone with a problem, and all you did was troll on others.

Default Lets put things into perspective here

Hi people I’m normally a forum ‘viewer’ not a poster but this has provoked me to make my first post.

Lik-Sang did not close down because of a lawsuit; it closed because of multiple lawsuits (plural people) against them. They got legally snowballed with lawsuits (internationally in various countries), spread them thin and one lawsuit will eventually nail’em.

Quoted from GameIndustry.biz from a statement by Sony

"Lik-Sang did not contest this case (i.e. they did not turn up and therefore incurred no legal costs). We have been awarded substantial costs against Lik-Sang which have not been paid," the statement claims.

"We would therefore strongly deny that our actions have had anything to do with this website closing (we assume the legal entity is still trading), and would suggest that this release is sour grapes on behalf of Lik-Sang which is aimed to belittle Sony Computer Entertainment and the British judicial system that found against them."

Sony Europe has been awarded costs that needs to be satisfied by Lik-Sang or more specifically its parent trading company Pacific Game Technology (Holding) Limited. This is an undisclosed amount that must be met alongside the legal fees and resources used internationally to cover the other lawsuits brought by Sony on to Pacific Game Technology (Holding) Limited, in my view leading them to cease trading under Lik-Sang. Its safe to assume that Sony’s ‘action’ in this matter is pretty self evident in Lik-Sang closing.

Sony statement released with the derogatory term “sour grapes” is uncalled for and uncivilised harkening itself to a mentality of an immature young child, not a billion dollar corporation. Check out the below news thread for Pascal Clarysse (Lik-Sang Marketing Manager) 1st reaction statement to the judgement.

    http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=20536

Sony Europe has cited “dishonest manner” in selling PSP and “infringement of intellectual property” along with breaches in copyright laws for their reasons against Lik-Sang, and I would very much like to know the specifics in what way Lik-Sang broke copyright laws. Unfortunately Lik-Sang named and shamed certain heads of Sony Europe, which they shouldn’t have done – they should just have said certain heads of Sony Europe bought from them. Which to me is hypocrisy, if its good for certain heads of Sony Europe why isn’t it good for the rest of us.

Now with we’ve had mixed reactions to this. On the left with Pro Lik-Sang are the likes of Vega and on the right Sony Fanboy Mudd. All are valid points however let me point out one thing. I’ve never bought from Sony or Lik-Sang (ever period) but to me this is in effect Sony Europe suing and winning damages against Lik-Sang for the RIGHT of European (especially the UK) customers of buying Sony products outside our region. It’s the consumer’s choice to buy where, when and how they want.

Sony proclaims its protecting their customers due to ‘hardware’ related issues, it is NOT Sony’s RIGHT to tell customers where, when and how to buy their products. It’s a RIGHT to FREEDOM of CHOICE by the consumer. People choose to buy products from outside their regions most knowing their will be mainly ‘electrical power’ issues. Sony has no right to tell us we cannot buy their product from other regions or put down other businesses for supplying a service on a product they own and will get a return on. Because it’s our money and choice to do as we see fit and this goes for all billion dollar corporations.

What the f- You've got to be kidding.
They make the PSP, an amazing device loaded with potential, and now Sony has made stupid decision after stupid decision, especially trying to stop imports, which make them MORE money. What in the hell? They're just trying to cause problems for not only their fans, but themselves.

I have always boycotted Sony, but I'm not quite sure why. I think it's just that I go for the underdog and that hasn't been Sony. I kinda wanted a PSP, but now probally won't buy one. If they take a loss on the PSP, maybe we should all buy one, but find alternate ways of obtaining software so they don't make $$ off of us. lol
