Just did the upgrade and right now I´m one happy camper. Very sweet. Without a doubt Dark Alex is a PSP genius.
i've always been loyal to 1.5 but now there is no point to stick with 1.5 anymore 2.71 SE-B has everything that 1.5 has and more
I wonder when the next revision for 2.71 SE comes along? I hope that there will be some more new featues added to it!![]()
I was thinking what could be done to improve the SE firmware
I guess 2.82SE....![]()

PSP1. Black Jap 1000K: 1.5 -> 2.71SE-A -> 2.71SE-B -> 2.71SE-B' -> 2.71SE-B''
PSP2. Black "non worker" from ebay: 2.6 (?) -> 2.71 -> 1.5 -> 2.71SE-B -> 2.71SE-B'
PSP3: Black "Broken UMD Drive" UK 1003 2.0 -> 1.5 -> 2.71SE-B -> 2.71SE-B'
Do you have a bricked psp?
2.82 SE? That's sounds good but someone has to try and crack the security in that to make homebrew work as 2.71 SE-B does right now.
Just upgraded from 1.5 - had some mixed results. ScummVM and SNES9X for example aren't working (got a 'Game cannot be started (80020130)' error), while PSPUAE worked.
Any ideas what could be wrong?? Anyway overall this is a great thing to hit the scene.
Now for a noob question: what is the deal with firmware updates with this... is there a way it can update (automatically or if i accidently do it) and if so, is there a way to disable this.
