Sound drivers

k i figured out my problem with my computor's sound i need to update me driver i have the update thingy but he said i had to delete the old driver or sumthing could some one plz walk me through this.
im very confused???

Well you go to the control panel then system and then hardware tab click on the device manager and the right click on the driver that you want to delete to select properties, now click on the second tap not the properties and you should get four buttons down the left-hand side, click the on that says delete driver, done! Any more problems with sound just let me know
