Silver PlayStation 2 Officially Announced (US)

Despite the PS3 and Wii consoles being oh-so-close to launching for our greedy little faces, there are actually pretty decent PS2 games due out in the next year. That's why Sony's announcing the release of a limited edition Silver PS2, which will retail for $130 and come with one DualShock controller.

If your PS2 is about to break, or if you really want to torment your kid who wanted a PS3 but was a spoiled little brat this year, grab one of these and play through Final Fantasy XII, God of War 2, and whatever else is coming this season. Oh, and maybe you can save up these PS2 controllers for use on your PS3.

Well i think i'm going to get one of those. My PS2 not doing so good. I have mine from launch and there all sorts of problems with it. Plus its not like i'll be getting a PS3 this year lol. There is just not enough of them.

Yeah they do have the silver one out for ages and my old ps2 (first model) is still working after all these years and it's chipped hehehe, just good care and a lot of loving makes it live for longer

Wow, what kinda news is this? The silver PS2 has been out for at least two years by now. You didn't get this in North America?

The PINK PS2, however, is news. It will be out by x-mas.
