GTA SA was the last great GTA, IMO, the franchise has become a little stale, with LCS nothing more than a ported-down version of GTA III on the PS2.
No doubt the inevitable GTA SAS will be the same.

yep your 100% right there it did die after SA and VCS is just another port but they did a pretty good job of porting it because it has some new stuff in there aswell.
