Default GTA:LCS not loading under 333 MHz

For some reason when I run Devhook and emulate 2.71 firmware and mount my UMD, when I clock my CPU/GPU to 333/160(?) my game stops loading areas, and just stays in a loading screen.

Is there a setting in Devhook I need to change, or what?

Sometimes this happens to me as well. I just suggest setting it to a slightly lower rate. If you have 2.71 SE-B, you could use the new overclocking module. I have used that and it indeed works with GTA as well as other games.

I use 1.50 firmware. So clocking the CPU to around 266 MHz would work?

By the way, this is the first time I've experienced this problem. It has always seemed to work at max speed before.

I know what you mean. It sometimes screws up. Either try a slower setting or see if waiting a while will help.

What devhook version do you have? That could be a big deal.

Either version .44 or .45. I've been using the same one for a while. As I said, this problem only recently has been appearing.

If you are attempting to start the UMD via autoluanch under emulation with a high clock speed of over 222mHz, then yes the PSP will crash. A way to get around that is you lower the clock speed before firmware emulation starts. Another way is when starting it, keep the UMD drive door open, wait until the XMB appears and then run the game.

Try that and see if it works.

Well, I do always start it under 222 MHz, then change it to 333 later on. It doesn't exactly crash, but it stops loading.

the game loads perfectly and runs perfectly on 222 so who cares. You really dont need it to run on 333. It's fast enough for me.

When running things via devhook, it tends to go slower than just running it normally. I think it goes around 30 or so frames per a second, but it increases to 40~50 with 333 MHz. Though 30 FPS works, it is nice to have the increase in speed.
