It is clear that the spiral of our consoles keeps turning, and here a piece of homebrew Dreamcastero story with a happy ending: We go back to 2003 when in full bloom Dreamcastera the scene, created a homebrew contest called "Dream On" (sharing the same name in honor of what would be the first magazine Dreamcastera of scene). Here's the link to the story. The award was interesting: $ 25 and a professional shot of the game. I will ring because those who won were Inhabitants (1st) and Maqiupai (2nd), games, edited by Goat Store. In the competition participated 5 games: the 2 above plus Boll (3rd), Whispered Secrets and Trampalien Gunmen DC. So far so normal and nice The news comes as the author of Boll has shown signs of life and has decided to publish his game and the 3D engine used with open source license ! (Yes folks, after 9 years!).
No doubt great news, thanks quarn ! Oh, I forgot: Boll is a 4 player game such as "run you scoundrel." It is made entirely in 3D library KOS and libq3d. Controls: Analog: Move the ball D-pad: Controls the camera (angle and zoom) A: Jump X: Spin attact L / R: Panning Links and Downloads: Post in DCemu . co.uk Q3D - quarns quick and dirty 3d-engine . A very old (and not very good) Sega Dreamcast 3D engine. Boll - A Sega Dreamcast Game I made for the "DreamOn" competition. Download Boll CDI (150 MB - Use CDDA tracks, hence the large size hehe)
