I need the PSU, I'll be buggered if I'm changing that over in the case when a PSU is £15 and a new case is £25....

It'll have to wait I suppose, no rush

With PSU's, you can often use the sniff test to tell if it is burnt out. Sniff the vents on the psu. If it smells like burnt rubber, jackpot. If not, your mobo is bad. Motherboards are cheap these days. Don't waste your time on a new case. PSU's that come stock with cases are often weak crap. Go with an Antec or a Thermaltake PSU. They are built to last.

I think it's more of a case f having the time to pull it all apart. At some point (possibly later tonight) I'll strip the whole thing to barebones and start with literally psu and motherboard... if that doesnt work, It'll be end of the month before I can get a new MB..
