I sold my DS to put a psp on preorder before they came out but recently bought another one cause they've just got so many great games that I want.
Plus I just like black hardware.

DS also has some pretty awsome homebrew too (like I said sometime before, Doom online!)
    I agree.

If we are talking about the Nintendo DS, we must refer to the DS Lite as it blows the original version out of the water.

With that being said, I think the DS Lite is a more universal gaming system. Anyone from children to adults, to the elderly, both male & female can get enjoyment from a DS. Moreover, the DS Lite is probably easier for a kid or elderly to pick up and get started with.

Heres a good guide to go by:

DS Lite Arctic White = Kids & Elderly
    DS Lite Pink = Girls
    DS Lite Black = Guys

I happen to have the Black DS Lite and although it has not been able to take the place of my PSP yet, there is an obvious feel of craftmanship & care when playing some of the quality DS titles. The DS Lite definitely has that Nintendo charm that we have all come to know and love. And many like me have grown up playing the NES & SNES so I have a nostalgic draw to Nintendo.

If SONY was not trying to compete with the DS Lite, company representatives such as this guy would not talk so negatively about it.

I still favor the PSP but we have Final Fantasy III and other great DS titles right around the corner so we'll see.

Yeah, I had gotten the original ugly DS, but ended up selling it. But I'll never sell my new shiny Black DS Lite.

    Default system fight

were not starting this fanboy system vs system fight again arent we (megadrive is cool snes is lame)? the problem is the 2 systems have to many things in common that its almost impossible to not compare them, but guys as a company you have to target the widest market possible (SpongeBob for PSP, Resident Evil for DS).
I agree that the PSP has the better Hardware inside but DS has a better playability 2 screens 1 a Touchscreen. But it is only to your personal favor which system youre tend to.
I personally wanted to have a device that can do more than just gaming so i bought a PSP, little time later i learned about Homebrew and downgrading whitch convinced me in my decision, on the other hand if i would be into new gaming concepts i might have bought a DS.

Psp is a toy too, just like the PS3 is and the 360 is...
I have them both so I don't have to pick one over the other,it's just that DS's commercial releases blow psps out of the water.Psps homebrew, emus and multimedia abilities rule the DS.

For kids? I'll tell you what's for kids.

"Oh yeah? Well we didn't want Nintendo's stupid market anyway! Waa waa waa! Nintendo is for babies! We're gonna go make our own rules where we can win, and you can't play! WAA!!"

How about just making some friggin's decent games? Y'know, something that I wouldn't feel like I was being robbed blind paying $50 for. Oh, and anytime you wanted to stop trying to kill homebrew would be just fine with me, too.
