Default NDS : CRCI Sound Streamer middleware

Famitsu is reporting on an audio middleware for Nintendo DS. A high performance , compression
and playback algorithm it is said to be easy to
incorporate by developers in their development efforts. Well, PSP also deserves something similar I feel.

Yes it is a sound recorder for developers in addition to being a audio compression tool. Also it has a RUNTIME LIBRARY which the destination Game will access to play the compressed audio at higher quality and with multistream support

Check the PDF which will show you 2 components of an Encoder software and a Runtime library

this is good news for games that
use real nice music and have to be
compressed really high to save space.

now they can be compressed high and
    still have high quality.
