    Other things that are wrong:

a jiffy is not 1/100th of a second. it is not an officially recognized unit of time and can sometimes be used to mean 1/60th or 1/50th of a second (the time a single frame takes on a television).

the population of china one is nonsensical because it does not give a speed, therefore cannot be calculated.

I don't know if you knew any of these...

The longest movie is 87 hours long and is called "The cure for Insomia".
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cure_for_Insomnia
The longest song is currently being played at a church and won't be done for 638 years (I'm serious). BTW, the same guy that wrote this 638 year long song, "wrote" a piece that has no notes in it at all.

There is a song generated by computer that will play for 1000 years (I'm serious here too), and it's called Longplayer.

    True.

A spider has no pigments in its blood, it's actually clear.

A drop of alcohol on the back of a scorpion will cause it to sting itself to death.

The Giant cricket of Africa enjoys eating human hair.

The only insect that can turn its head 360 degrees is the praying mantis.

Small $#@!roaches are more likely to die on their backs than large $#@!roaches.

The Ritz cracker was introduced to markets in 1934, but gourmets had to wait until 1953 for the invention of cheese in a can. (some of the best inventions are simple)

A man named Ed Peterson is the inventor of the Egg McMuffin.

An apple, onion, and potato all have the same taste. The differences in flavor are caused by their smell. To prove this - pinch your nose and take a bite from each. They will all taste sweet.

Native Americans never actually ate turkey; killing such a timid bird was thought to indicate laziness.

Pigturducken is a pig, stuffed with a turkey, which is stuffed with a chicken, deep fried in oil, which is usually put into something similar to a horse trough over propane burners. ($50 to the first person to eat a whole one, I'm not trying)

In Bavaria, beer isn't considered an alcoholic drink but rather a staple food (I agree).

Seat belts for pilots were installed only after the consequence of their absence was observed to be fatal - several pilots fell to their deaths while flying upside down.

The number one cause of blindness in the United States is diabetes (which is caused by daily eating at McDonalds, inactivity, stress, too much sugar in the diet, not enough sugar in the diet, over eating of "bad foods" over a long period of time, and on and on).

Between 25% to 33% of the population sneeze when they are exposed to light.

The Eisenhower interstate system (US) requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.

David Prowse, was the guy in the Darth Vader suit in Star Wars. He spoke all of Vader's lines, and didn't know that he was going to be dubbed over by James Earl Jones until he saw the screening of the movie (that had to hurt a little, but James Earl Jones had the "voice").

Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intravenously (thats one bored junkie).

Michael Jordan makes more money from Nike annually than all of the Nike factory workers in Malaysia combined (ouch).

Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older.

The internet is a gold mine for more useless information. Good finds Kando.
