Trouble Running...

Im having trouble running Donkey Kong1,2, and 3 for the SNES. Im having the same problem when trying to run Super Mario Kart SNES. Gameplay is just very slow...is that just how it has to be or is there a way to speed up the gameplay?
Im running SNES9 with firmware 1.5 on my PSP.
Games like Street Fighter Turbo, Kirbys Dream Course, Super Mario World, NBA Jam-all work great.

here this is the emulator you need if you dont have it already.

just mess around with the settings if it's still slow.
turn frameskip to 2.
