Default Ok so 2.8 fw and above cannot be exploited or hacked?

Your telling me it is basically impossible, right? Well if its not possible its only because you are unoriginal. If you go on the tiff exploit for 2.8 and use that asd a basis there has GOT to be a way. Granted, 2.81-82 fix this exploit. Well then theres got to be another exploit in the firmware because 3.0 is coming out here soon for the PS1 games soon to be coming out. The games will require 3.0 firmware however that is niot important to me, of course. Im simply stating that since ANOTHER fw is coming out theres got to be a hole somewhere right? If Im wrong, then fine, but logically theres got to be an exploit. Im sure someone is going to say to do it myself. Well I do not have the necessary tools to hack/exploit the psp software unless someone can point me in the right direction. Plus my recently purchased PSP came with 2.82 I was there when the guy traded it in and he let me look at it then sold it to me for only 100 bucks and I lack the funds to get another psp. One last thing being his was the only one being that was used besides the new ones which the clerk, being a geek like me said all had 2.8 fw so it would have been pointless to get one if I wanted to run homebrew.

no just because 3.0 is coming out doesnt meanthere is an exploit or a hole. It simply means they are adding new features

since there is no known exploit on your firmware yet, the PSPSDK would be pointless for you as you have no way of knowing if your game works/doesnt work/bricks PSPs/etc.
If you notice, Sony doesnt ususally add 'sercurity updates' untill after an exploit is found, so if 2.82 does have an exploit somewhere, it will likely be in 3.0 as well (plus any new ones that come from the new features)

splodger, what do you mean 'partial kernal access'?

    be reasonable splodger

many people update when they first get therye psp and then when theryre freind comes and says HEY MAN look what MY psp can do blah blah. The guys like cool i want that $#@! for my psp the other freind is like DUHHHHH you need a firmware lower than the one to do this $#@! man... then the guy is like fricking $#@! i never knew this existed now this is what downgraders are made for because as we all know we cant just put HOMEBREW WORKS ON 1.5 DONT UPDATE on EVERY SINGLE psp box so thats why downgraders are needed by most generous hackers.

Ok yes, very true Tetris99 I did know about homebrew before purchasing my psp as stated above. Anyway, though can someone tell me how close they have gotten to cracking 2.8+ or not?
