Apple's new top of the range iPad – which comes with 64GB memory, wi-fi and 4G connectivity – is priced at £659, but Tesco retailed the tablet at just £49.99 due to an IT error, according to BBC News.
Perhaps, 'IT error' means John the IT guy made a blunder and will never work for an online retailer again.
While wide-eyed consumers were likely buying the devices by the bulk load, Tesco has withdrawn the incorrect price – a privilege it has thanks to its terms and conditions – and assures customers will not have any money withdrawn from their accounts.
A Tesco spokesperson, said: "We like to offer our customers unbeatable value, but unfortunately this is an IT error that is currently being corrected."
