Each of the SE revision have improved on the previous, so your question really is this

Whats better, 1.5 Custom Firmware or 2.71 SE?

That question has started a lot of flame wars mainly cause the majority people that upgrade like it more than 1.5 but the few that didnt was mainly due to lazyness. Most people that swear 1.5 is the best havent even tried 2.71 SE as they are scared of bricking. They both have their good and bad points (1.5 good=Runs all homebrew, 1.5 bad=Needs devhook to access alot of the PSP features and to play most games. 2.71 SE good=Never need devhook again, which saves (a little) time and space on memory stick. 2.71 SE bad=Some homebrew needs to be 'fixed' to work (they have broken params that show as corrupt in 2.71), but i believe that they are each good for their own things. 1.5 is good if you use homebrew more than newer features and UMDs, whereas 2.71 SE is good if you use a lot of both homebrew and newer features and UMDs

Ok so while waiting for a dg for 2.82 I will make sure to keep up on Dark Alexs 2.71 then, cause I do use a lot of the features. So thanks guys. Oh, and how does one "Fix" homebrews that wont run then? What program, methods are used and is it rather simple?

You will be waiting a very very very long time best to just sell it and buy one off ebay
