Size upgrade would outmatch rival device the Galaxy S II.
Apple's new iPad has barely been unpacked, but iPhone 5 rumours have already surfaced from South Korean media, according toReuters.
The report cites an "industry source" that claims Apple has decided on a 4.6-inch retina display for the next iPhone, over a full inch larger than the 3.5-inch screen featured on the iPhone 4S.
The size upgrade would officially regard the device as a superphone – a high-end smartphone with a four-inch or larger display – to put it ahead of the 4.3-inch display of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S II device.
We recently reported that almost 90 per cent of smartphone owners fancy a superphone-sized screen for their upgrade, so Apple may do well to listen to consumer desires.
