    Default Soldier of Fortune

It's uses the Quake 2 engine, so it should run.

I have the Dreamcast version and it's awesome. If it's ported, will be great.

Stump, a friendly warning. The mods here don't take kindly to repeated double-posting. There is an edit button for this kind of thing.

Quake 2 has software rendering as well as opengl (hardware accelerated) rendering, it's a lot easier to port a game that uses software as the code will be easier to change so the PSP can understand it, porting a game that only uses hardware rendering is a lot harder and requires a lot more work (this is just my understanding of it, I'm still a noob at coding, please correct me if i'm wrong).

The fact that it uses the quake 2 engine dosn't help much either, C&C3 uses the same engine as Emporer battle for dune (Sage 3d Engine) and both have dramaticly different graphics and specs. aside from all that we havn't even got a finished quake 2 port yet.

Does anybody know of a single requested port thats actually been taken on by a coder? It seems all the coding wizards are busy, There just isn't enough of 'em to go round

And why not? If it was ported, I think it would run fine. It requires a 233 MHz processor, which the PSP has better, and 64MB of RAM, which I don't know if the PSP has or not.

And although, the Quake 2 port is not complete, the demo level ran perfectly. And even though Quake 2 has lower requirements than SoF, they're based off the same engine.

I'm not saying it could be ported, but I think the PSP could run it.
