Rev Watch Live Stats for sales of PS3 and Wii

    news via next gen wars

"The next generation of gaming is upon us, and the console wars has begun. NexGen Wars.com has spent countless hours researching sales facts from dozens of sources to track the sales of the consoles and monitor the next generation of console wars between the Microsoft Xbox 360, the Sony Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii."

My first question would be how on earth are these stats updated so quickly (refresh page to view updated counts) and second.. WHO WILL WIN?

Wii is outselling PS3 already? It's been half a day!

To be expected though considering wii has way more consoles to sell than ps3.

well actually no, day one yes sure more units helped. But one would argue that PS3 has been out 2 days longer tho, and Wii is already outselling.

Both companies have made their official launches, so I think this is fair- both companies are free to supply as many consoles as they can from now onwards.

Its so clear that demand for Wii is far far outstripping demand for PS3 in the States, even if there were enough PS3 to go around Wii would still healthily lead in unit sales by a considerable number. Factor the amount of money Nintendo are making in comparison too, and its all so sunny for them

EDIT: Wii is passed the 500'000 mark!
