S2 Games, creators of the award-winning MOBA title, Heroes of Newerth (HoN) – announced plans today for a massive multi-regional tournament series, DreamHoN, officially sponsored by Alienware Arena and set to headline at the world's largest LAN event, DreamHack Summer 2012. DreamHoN will feature five-man teams from around the globe facing-off in the massively popular session-based MOBA title, Heroes of Newerth. Teams from North America, Europe, South East Asia (SEA), Oceania, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Korea will all vie for their shot at over $60,000 in prize money and the pride of representing their home territory live at DreamHack Summer 2012 in Jönköping, Sweden. It all kicks off with separate North American, European, and Oceanic qualifiers starting April 23rd.

"We are dedicated to increasing the exposure of our game on a global scale", said Phil Haller, Director of eSports at S2 Games, "There's no better way to do that than taking the best HoN players in the world to one of the biggest eSport events on the planet and let them do what they do best."

Registration for the North American, European, and Oceanic international qualifiers begins April 19th, 2012 and ends April 22nd, 2012. Players should assemble their territory-specific teams and prepare to compete in a two week long qualifier tournament powered by Beyond Gaming. S2 Games' global partners Garena and Ntreev are set to host additional qualifier tournaments in SEA, CIS, and Korea over the next few weeks, making DreamHoN the largest global eSport event in Heroes of Newerth history. The winning team from each international qualifier will receive an all expenses paid invitation to participate in the Live DreamHoN Finals at DreamHack Summer 2012, June 16th – 19th. Additionally, DreamHoN will bring back the ever important DreamHack Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) Qualifiers, which will find one lucky team of DreamHack attendees fighting their way up the ranks and into the hot seat among some of the best competitive HoN teams in the world. The final piece of the puzzle will be the invitation of reigning three-time DreamHack Champions, FnaticRaidCall, who's ready to jump back into the Heroes of Newerth competitive scene just in time for DreamHack Summer 2012.

With DreamHack Summer 2012 hosting some of the biggest games in eSport,DreamHoN will pit each qualified five-man team head-to-head against one another in a grueling single group stage format.
