PSP camera and 3.00 software review

hmm maybe once 3.0 is devhooked i will get it. but my problem is the 1.3 MP. thats equal to a cell phone camera. surely for 43 bucks sony could have done something a little better

Thats pathetic, its like a toys'r'us childs toy! My sony phone has 3.2MP! lol

This could have been so much better comming from $ony... as it is its just a pointless add-on.

Aww.. The camera is not a sales tactics from sony's side... Why should the camera have 3.2Mp when the PSP screen is just 272*480?
I can't remember any webcams ever having better resulotion then 1.3Mp more often they are 0.3Mp...

I think sony want us to countinue buy thier regular cameras... The DS doesn't have a camera so there is nothing to compete with. Why should sony do as the mobilephone companys; try to top the competition when there is none...?

On the other hand, logitech, joytech and others... Should try to come out with a camera too. Since the camera is supported in the XMB we should see more company's making camera's... Then maybe sony will come out with a new camera with more than 1.3Mp...

Bring on the Homebrew support! We should have a contest to see who can make the first public drivers for the camera and GPS! I'd donate!

You could always try to decrypt the "usbcam.prx" and "usbgps.prx" files in the firmware.
