help homebrew scene ! : ]
i downloaded the ps1p emulator but how exactly do i play ffvii. can someone walk me step by step and folder by folder?
Wow
Ok, the save file for RE2 will take a while...F'in zombies keep killing me (i wish i had a ps to usb controller, or a mod to make one)
The folder layout would be like this
_SEC_Ps1p (or whatever it is)
- Eboot
- BIO
- 2 Memory Card Files (try to save, it will crash and these will be made)
- Game ISO, BIN/CUE, etc
%_SEC_Ps1p
- Eboot
Well firstly, thanks a bunch to A.C, might not have greatest compatibility, but he's plugging away trying to get this emulator working, and he deserves respect for that. (Probably only released alpha so early cause everyone was impatient :P LOL)
Secondly, seen a lot of "My image wont got past the "loading game screen"", etc, way I solved that here was to use IsoBuster, rip as RAW (bin/iso), and voila, a Bin file that seems to work perfectly.
PS. FF7 runs maybe 75% speed in game, 25-50% in battles here...predominantly 25%....but it's a start!
PPS. If you gonna whine or say bad crap about AC or PS1P, go elsewhere, AC is doing a great job and doesnt need the negative crap, keep the posts helpful.
(My two cents :P)
This emu is prety much on par with the other psx emu plays nothing at a playable speed needs ALOT of work to get it to a acceptable level.MAN AFTER ALL THE HYPE WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT.
with a little patiants this runs at a playable speed =P
I admit its slow but it runs faster then the others. For example resident evil and crash bandicoot took forever to load but now they load (by load i mean get to a playable part) within minutes.
but anyway its a wonderful start to a psx emulator =P
Ideas for next release:
- New Folder Layout (your layout is owful...=P)
- Display FPS in the lop left corner or somethin
- Support for Zip/Rar's (comeon save me some space, i only got so much)
- Note Button takes ScreenShots, bc that would be sweet...
- Check out Dgen, that menu is one of the best. Try and copy that. You can configure controls, save and load state, use gameshark, and stuff like that. It would really give your emulator an edge (even at this playable state) bc its more user friendly.
But of course get it running before you add most of that =P
