    Default if

If that were the case, then hopefully they just pop in the iso into a 'template' file that someone could do a hex search for inside the created eboot. I'm sure its encrypted but dang that would be nice.

Basically then you could prolly just pop in an iso into that template file in place of the one that is supposed to be there.

But I have only a PSP, no PS3 so I couldn't even say if the files are a large eboot, or iso and eboot. Is there anyone on here that can clarify what their PSP downloaded PSX from PS3 looks like when its on the PSP (filewise)?
Doubt it; Sony probably made a special fileformat that is recognized by the PS1 emu and PSP 3.0 firmware. I doubt they would use eboots because:

1)We have an Eboot unpacker and could unpack PS1 games if they were in this format

2)If the PS3 could compile SIGNED Eboots then we could essentially hack the PS3 to figure out how to make a program to sign our own eboots (something Sony would NEVER do.)

Sony would be stupid to put PS1 games in eboot form, not to mention, to make a PS1 game work on other PSPs that its not meant to would be easy if they were in eboot form, since one would only need to edit the SFO.

That makes sense... But still, code is code... It can be decrypted one way or another.

It has been true that with SONY firmware upgrades the homebrew scene sees a spike in activity. So in a way, SONY firmware upgrades can be seen as good to an extent.

With Booster reportedly back in action and now this news, it shouldn't be too long now. I don't mind waiting.

Hopefully 3.00 or 3.01 will work.
