Excellent news - the Plus/4 was the first computer I used, nearly 20 years ago! I'd been hoping for Yape (or one of the other emulators) to be ported to the PSP but didn't really expect it! The Plus/4 was relatively popular here in the UK but even so the C64 (and latterly the Amiga) trounced it in terms of numbers sold.
The emulator seems to work pretty well - I've only tried a handful of games so far, but they all work as expected, albeit at around two thirds of normal speed. (The music and sound effects sound a bit odd too, but that's due to the lower speed that thiings are running at)
The games I've tested are:
The Exorcist and Leaper, both of which were fine. I used a keyboard set up with J and S mapped to the square and circle keys and joystick 2 mapped to the D-pad.
Treasure Island:
For some reason back in the day my friends all thought the graphics in that game were very dodgy!![]()
Reflex:
This one needs the joystick set to port 1. If you set joystick two as active, just press "down" to move to the next level.
All in all, very impressive - there really is a great selection of emulators for the PSP available now!
Incidentally for pretty much every Plus/4 game ever released, head over to the superb Plus/4 World:
