    Lightbulb Psp idea.

Well first off would it be possible for a psp to run a program that can boost wireless signals?
And if so, could it bad made?
That’s my idea, but alas I am too stupid to make that a reality.

    I think that's a hardware problem. I'm not 100% sure though...

Yes, I know what you mean. But it's not like the CPU, where you can overclock. I think to get better range you would need to install a better antenna.

The WiFi daughterboard is what you'd need to modify, it already uses its max signal, if you want to improve it, it is definitely a hardware thing

even if your PSP could be used as a WiFi repeater, what would be the point? it only has about a 100' range...

but, the thing is, it doesent realy have an ability (as far as I know) to send and recieve a WiFi SSID at the same time... so I don't think its possible..

    Ok thanks guys.
And my meaning is only a small part of wireless signal gets to my room, so I want to boost it with out having to buy anything with money I do not have.
On a shorter note, I do not have a PC in my room.

wow. what wireless router are you using. we have a netgear and from the router to my room is only about 50' and i get at least 75% signal. What are you using that it doesnt get to your room much.
