Yeah its a shame, because activision/ flying edge had the rights to console versions of simpsons games when it was released and now vivendi( i think) have console rights so we cant even have an official retro release from Konami.

I presume it would require an advanced knowledge of the MAME world to port this to the PSP?
Well maybe one day, thanks for your input guys, maybe someone will pick it up.

No not really, it isnt like you could use VM on a dreamcast either as it had no HD.

that port is not full speed, but the coder was not very good, he has a very bad name in the dc scene for stealing code, not crediting or release sources to GPL releases etc.
Actually this was made by warmtoe, not reaper. Reaper did something like wrote a menu for it i think.

Actually, yes, yes really. The guy who made this used spare memory in the DC's vram to hold some rom data. This memory is considerably slower for access by the cpu for reading, and so the concept is the same as Virtual Memory. This technique also caused slowdown in the Dreamcast version. So yes, the fact that the PSP has enough ram to hold it all does mean it would/could run faster.

has it been so long that you've forgotten reaper? =P Anyways, yea, well what he did was give general credits to "mame port for DC" and warmtoe made to modifications for this SGA from his port of mame to the DC (based on the digita port).

Simpsons arcade was an amazing game. Much like TMNT it was a great multi player blast, capturing the cartoon style to a tee.

We've got Marvel Vs Capom, SVC Chaos, Metal Slug etc playing arcade perfect now (which a year ago nobody would have thought possible), so I guess we might well eventualy see more acrcade games being emulated well on the psp. ...at least I hope so.

Yeah TMNT was good, I found it at a roller rink when I was out Friday night, must have spent a tenner on it at least, lol.
NJ's work on his emulators has come on in leaps and bounds lately, what with releases comming on an almost daily basis.Maybe he'll move onto other parts of MAME in the future, who knows, I hope so.
