cool, i still get the 4 blinking dots so mine might not be installed correctly, but my computer picks up all my actions with the controller in properties, and my madden 08 on my computer recognizes my button pressing. i just cant adjust what i want each button to do....yet

OK Im about to pull all my hair out and throw my pc off my balcony. I have been sitting here for hours on end, encountering problem after problem. Okay so i followed the instructions, didnt work. I searched the net, found some hopeful solutions tried them out, and it would seem that it was going to work (when i select test program, the appropriate code comes up) so i go to control panel, game controllers. The ps3 sixaxis is listed, status is OK. I click properties and BOOM error. It says that the game controller isnt connected properly and that i should verify its plugged. What $#@!s me the most is that i could access the test previously, with no numbers lighting up, but now that i seem to have fixed the controller issue i get this problem. I've also tried connecting a 2- axis, 10 button gamepad, and get the same error. PLEASE i am begging anyone who can help to do so, i just dont know what to do anymore.

Holy crap! I too spent hours $#@!ing around with the original "drivers" posted here to no avail. 30 seconds with these and BAM I'm in business. This is how drivers are supposed to work!

It's the drivers from this post...

The links no longer work... Like I said, could somebody please upload them?

    **EDIT**

Ok, I did some googling, and found a link to the Japanese Sixaxis driver...

After spending an hour with the thread starters driver, and getting no results, I tried this one, and it worked immeadiately... Download it now... Before you ask, it only works on USB, and Sixaxis functions don't work.

for some reason, in order to get this to work for me, i have to unplug my wireless usb mouse. and when im done using the sixaxis, and i plug my mouse back in, it instantly dosent recognize my sixaxis any longer. and i have to start from scratch with the install. any ideas on this? has this happened to anyone else? im on vista btw...

ok this worked for me but now when i try to use my six axis with me ps3 again the thing is stuck in charge and the blue tooth is switched off, anyone know how to fix this, this is a very bad problem as it pretty much makes the controler useless for the system.

it didn't work for me at the begining but then after searching here and there i found this . wriitne by Crustie from http://zedomax.com/blog/2006/12/09/p...ed-in-windows/

It works, open the control panel on your pc. Click game controllers, select the ps3 controller on the list then click the properties button. Now run the usbdriver exe thingy and immediately press the ‘PS’ button. Then look over to the test window press a few buttons on your controller and you should see some lights light up. If it doesnt work repeat the process. If it still doesnt work make sure your PS3 is powered off with the off switch if it is near by, then reconnect the controller to the PS3 with the usb cable and repeat the steps.

This is the way I have gotten it to work for me pretty simple. I just had another question has anyone gotten the PS3 controller to work via Bluetooth? I have a Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter and I do a scan for devices and have been unable to the detect the PS3 controller.
and now it works for me 2 .... yeepppppeeeeeee ...
