Interestingly enough, I finally got mine to work. No lights are on but it is detected by Windows and games alike. Just played some xwars with it - if you haven't tried it, definitely a fun game if you don't have a 360.
Guys, do you know if windows app will recognize THIRD party PS3 arcade sticks like the new Virtua Stick High Grade controller or the new Arcade Stick from Hori?

I am trying to make it work with Battlefield 2142 but the sensitivity is set way to high. If the analog stick doesn't settle just right in the dead zone it will move a little, any ways to fix this?
When I go to open the sixaxis_en.exe program it only stays open for a quick second. How would I keep it open so my PS3 Conroller locates the computer? I tried running it as a command (start menu, then run, put in cmd, took me to the command menu, and i put in COMMAND then my file name; but is says bad path or something to that matter. Please get back to me, i am very eager to play some old school emulators on my computer; with a ps3 controller. Much better then using the keyboard.
It is suppose to open then close
Why doesnt my controller work with RE4? I installed the driver, Vista detects it but wont work with RE4...You cant play RE4 without a controller.
Does this program support Vista? When i connect my controller, my lights just flash...
Iono why everyone is having trouble. Mine works flawlessly, but I just cant use the d-pad when playing Melty Blood. =/
ok im not very god with computers, could someone plz explain this to me step by step
K, had the same problem, and this is what I did:
Plug the controller in, press PS button let Windows recognize it, etc.
Goto Device Manager and locate the controller under Human Interface Devices (I think), right click and uninstall.
Run the ps3 sixaxis util provided in this thread
In device manager right click on your computer name and click on scan for changes
This should pick up the controller again and you should be able to use the buttons![]()
(well this worked for me anyway)
