    all i did was ask for a yes it works or no it doesnt, and when u are running a 56k connection downloading 2 files is like a 600lb man trying to run a triathalon so i just asked for a little bit of help b4 i left my computer on for 2 weeks downloading something that wouldnt work in the fist place. so again all that i just said up there wasnt to be rude, but you came at me with an additude without knowing the situation on my end, so if you can tell me what kind of motherboard doesnt have any visible markings on it and then tell me of a sure-fire way that i can downgrade it with 0% risk of bricking, please let me know
    Well sorry if I was a little rude but this isn't the PSP Help forum its the PSP News forum. If you had posted there then I wouldn't have had any problem in helping you. I'm getting a little fed up of people posting pointless questions here that have been answered a million times already.

    As you seem a polite enough person and I appreciate that here is some information to help you.

    so you definitely don't see anything like this?

    Or like this guide says?

    http://psp.about.com/od/homebrew/ig/...code-photo.htm

    Well you can use the rough and ready guide to identify your firmware by your box code:

    http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-genera...007-28718.html

    By determining what it initially came with you can get a rough idea of what motherboard it should be.

    At this point, it can be said with confidence that:

    * F and below - is definitely not a TA-082.
    * G and H - is probably not a TA-082.
    * I - is far too likely to be a TA-082; core or value pack are equally likely.
    * J and above - The likelihood of a TA-082 increases but is not universal.

    If you'd like to be more definite about it you can download a little app that will tell you if you have a TA082 motherboard or not from either Dark AleX or 0okm (it might also be included in the easy downgraders that have been released too).

    Here's the manual way to downgrade from 2.8 to 2.71 for all motherboards.

    http://0okm.blogspot.com/2007/01/fw2...079086_02.html

    Make sure you have all the correct files and read the guides before attempting.

    No worries, its at the bottom of my above post it will downgrade 2.80 to 2.71 for all TA079 - TA086 motherboards. From there you can install either HEND for 2.71 and use dark alex's 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader if you have a TA082 or his generic 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader if not, both at www.dark-alex.org

    Make sure you read all the readme's and have all the files you need before trying this.

    Good luck (Sorry I'm off to sleep now).

    I finally got around to messing with emulators and I have to say so far gpSP is the best of the bunch I've tried. The ui is very intuitive especially in regards to the save/load states which I've been using the heck out of with the Rayman titles(although I wish there was a faster way to return to the game without scrolling down but it's not that bad since it only takes a second).

    One addition I wouldn't mind seeing would be a way to save screenshots. Checking the documentation I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. It looks like you basically have that down since when you bring up the menu you get a (reduced) shot of what was on the screen at the time. The ability to write it out to memory stick would be nice though.

    Other than that I don't really have any ideas for improvement. Keep up the good work!

    Oh also I am running it on 3.03 OE-B with no problems.

    Is there zip support in this? I tried playing a zipped rom and it didnt work. I thought .zip was supported in previous versions, correct me if I;m wrong.
