Id say pspvideo9, never had the syncing problem myself but there are a fair few threads with fixes on the official sites forums.

You can use nero to convert video and dvd. use the convert dvd/video to nero digital or there`s a program called super that converts. i use these programs and the picture and sound quality is really good.

I use a program called "Any Video Converter", since it can convert just about every format (even .rmvb) to mp4, has great compression rates, and I've never had any syncing problems.

Your psp will need a thm file with the same numbering as your mp4 to recognize it (at least in my experience). Attached one for convenience, just rename it to the corresponding number.
