I have a handset for my mobile phone that is similar to this, and rarely fails to get a laugh, or at least a double-take. In a hardware store once, they were calling people out from the back to come and look at it.

The one I own is this one:

Much nicer ones are available at http://www.hulger.com/

I think I speak for all of us when I say I'd love to have VOIP on the PSP. All the ingredients are there: internet access, mic, speaker. If you can get IM, I don't see why VOIP is impossible.

I don't see how this works, if it is a receiver then how do you speak into it, and if it isn't used for that, then how good can you actually hear from the crappy psp speakers?

It is set up just like the PSP headset. The earpiece is functional and the mouth piece is functional just like they would normally be. You won't hear anything from the speakers as long as this is plugged in correctly.

    It is greatly appreciated.

A VoIP client for the PSP would be nice.
I am sure a wireless headset could be hacked together.

Adding a recording function should be a snap since its already been done.

A wireless VoIP phone (I can dream)

    A GPS
    A Camera
    Web Browser
    Internet Radio
    Sound & voice recording

My PSP is starting to feel like it’s my first “tricorder” lol
VoIP is very doable. I'm sure there will be a hacked version of Vonage or something to the like to support the use of a PSP as a phone.

Sorry, I couldn't tell if you were being serious earlier or not.
