Any idea what may have caused it?

Have you tried to see if the recovery menu was installed?

*edit* did you try to use the same data.dxar file from the first time?

nah i did everything again, new data,dxr, 100% battery and connected to outlet, checked everything

but once it finished, it was supposed to restart but it didnt

and so i went to press the power button and the screen stayed black but my green light flickers for 1 second, but then turns off again

At what point did it stop loading?
