ok, first of all this is way old.
you need to downgrade to 1.5 before you can upgrade to a custom firmware.
find a tut on downgrading from 2.71 to 1.5 and then you can install 3.40 oe a

    O darn...
Is it possible to play .PBP files without having to download this stuff?
It seems that this firmware is for playing ISO's, BIN's, etc.
I have the EBOOT and KEYS .PBP files for Parappa the Rapper, and some sites I looked around seem to say that the PSP can play PBP files automatically. Is that true?

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 doesn't work. It is playable- but the environment behind the skater is messed up and sometimes the environment in front of the skater is messed up.

Question I'm new at this stuff, help is appreciated...

    I have four questions:

    (1) I'm currently running 3.51 M33-7 firmware, will downloading your 3.02 OE-A downgrade my system to 1.5 so i can install 3.02 OE-A?

    (2) can a psx emulator run on this firmware?

    (3) If i install this firmware, will my current cso games work still?

    (4) Does this firmware better than the version i'm currently running?

Try upgrading to 3.52 M33, it supports almost all versions of popstation, you only need to extract some prx of a firmware to obtain different versions.

edit: Ok, im on 3.52 m33-4. I've created a folder named "popstation" and in it there is:

-popstation.exe (the one comin with the 3.02-oe-b)
    -cygwin1.dll
    -EBOOT.PBP
-FINALFANTASY7 (i've used UltraISO to rip it from the original PSX disk)
    -KEYS.bin

so what is missing or what i've done wrong??? I have the Hot Shot Golf2 icon but when I try to start it, it says "This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted." can someone help plz?

    Default Help

    I don't completely understand.

Do I have to have the "Hot Shots Golf 2" disk?

Does "ripping" a PSX game disk damage it? Cause I don't want that process to ruin my beloved games.

Does anyone know if "Jupiter Strike" (NTSC) works. Because it's my most absolute favorite game.

    Thank you.
