I'm Gonna try more psx games
I've got an idea for getting Vib Ribbon working. Try making an ISO of and audio CD and use Popstation to create a new eboot.
The tricky part would be swapping the VibRibbon eboot for the CD one. You could hotswap the memory stick, but you risk corrupting the card if it's in the middle of a read/write when you pull it. It's probably save to do it when Vib Ribbon is asking to insert a music CD since you have to do a button press to confirm the CD is in the drive -- so there's no active disk/stick access.
What we need to write is a small shell that runs on top of the PS1 emulator. When you need to switch a disk or insert a data CD you push a button combination that brings up a menu where you can choose which eboot you want. Behind the scenes the shell would swap the eboots and rename the one you aren't using.
Other than that, there may be a way to fool Vib Ribbon into reading the music data from Mp3's. I can't remember if Vib Ribbon uses the raw data from the CD track or just the analog audio output to make the game elements. I know a few games used the raw data from CD's (ISTR a monster builder/pokemon sort of game that did this).
King of fighters 99 - Perftect
Crash Tag Racing(CTR) - Perfect - very small graphical glitches in the environment!
Beta Tester: Windows 7
Abe's Odysee (NTSC) - Works, fullspeed but lag when you kill a converted enemy via doing the convert buttons again.
I keep getting a wierd buzzing noise when i start a game and it comes and goes. I have had this on all the games i have tried, FF7 and Abe's Odysee. Anybody know why? It comes and goes and eventually disappears shortly so it isnt much of a problem.
My Dino Crisis 2 just crashed after battling with the triceratops on the jeep ;_;
