ya,sony made the ta 82+ psps
unable to run the 1.5-2.6 cuz at that time all versions 1.5-2.6 were able to be downgraded

i think what o0km saying is
if you find some good methods
and change around some files too, in the eboot
    its possible to be "downgrade-customed"
so you can run some sweet homebrew and iso w/e..

and o0km knows how i think
but ibelive he said it was different for each psp ta82
and he dosent have a way to make it easier

that's insane...if this is released soon and i can upgrade to 3.02 oe-b somehow and run ff8 and tomb raider 4 the last revelation.....i dont think ill ever put my psp down, even when i'm home, and ill fly to japan, knock on 00okm's and dark alex's door, and shake their hand. then i might start being a little gay, but its ok, bc if this works ill be gay for them.

well this combined with the information about the hard down for the 82's that ookm posted a while back, from what i get is there is a bootstrap issue, so i am envisioning some soldering involved to the mobo itself, as well as having to have the custom fw's. this has been possible for the 82's for a bit, though it was privilaged information (ookm knew but to prevent unimaginable bricks didnot release it.) and to this i say, give a tutorial for these people, let them know what you know. i may not be one of the people that have the 82 or 86 psp, but i remember having to wait months for a 2.71 downgrader, and these people have been waiting longer than i ever could.

TA-082's being able to run custom firmware... I can see it happening.

Say what? It can't be. I'm still in shock over 3.02 OE-B and PS1 compatiblity that this new news about a TA-082 downgrader is too much to take.

What firmware TA-082's can be downgraded?

No such news on the DAX sites. I noticed there were a lot of idiots posting on PSPUPDATES (whats new!) with references to the fake downgrader from the other week.

What I think 0okm might be referring to is that TA082 blocks Sony's Official 1.5-2.5 Update PBP's from running (and that is all it does), however if you were to run a custom 1.5fw update (not blocked by the motherboard) in conjunction with one of the known exploits you could then downgrade to custom 1.5 and then upgrade to 3.02OEA/B with no problems (You could never run the official 1.5-2.5 updates though).

I've just been reading up for the past hour on what Harddowned TA82 1.5fw owners have been saying and everything matches up. All have been able to update to 2.71 SE or 3.02OE A/B but cannot use recovery mode and the official 1.5 EBOOT to downgrade to 1.5fw again. (They get partial bricks in which they need to copy over the 1.5fw flash0 files from another 1.5 PSP to fix).

Hmm I wonder what 0okm's softdown method is?

OK found some more info from 0okm's Softdown FAQ:

When will you start the SoftDown process?

In order to write the Program I need TIME
    Please wait
If you don't want to wait, please leave, don't waste your time.

Will I be able to update to 2.0 and then down to 1.5 again to get a clean firmware? (whats the difference between clean and unclean 1.5 anyway?)

    no
    just like PSP-1007 can't run FW1.50 UpDate EBOOT.PBP
    TA-082 can't run FW1.50 - FW2.50 UpDate EBOOT.PBP

and i don't want to released the "clean FW1.50 image file"(that is illegal !!)
so i need time to make a "Write software" that can generate "clean FW1.50" :P

Will I be able to upgrade to 3.0 when ps1 emulator comes out?

    yes
    TA-082 can run FW2.60/FW2.70/FW2.71/FW2.80.... UpDate EBOOT.PBP

How do you intend to manually downgrade hundreds of psp if it takes 45 minutes to do each one?

i think each day i can help zero to five TA-082 user to softdown :P

0okm , Another question : Is factive to release a patch maker ?
A piece of software that's reads the dump file and patch the original fw1.50 ?
    Tks.

    no
i don't know how to make a AI software
that can Analyzes the Data than patch the "FW1.50 image file" :P

First of all, I appreciate your work very much, but there´s one thing I don´t understand. Why do we have to send you the dump? is it different for each psp? if that´s true, can you give us a simple explanation?

simple explanation - each PSP have different KEY :P

Simple, he refers to HARDDOWN. That's the correct method.

Do you want to harddown? Easy. Simply solder over 20 microwires on your Flash0/1 chips, after opening your PSP.

He said that TA082-086 support 1.50 by doing that.

A TA Downgrader isn't impossible, but when, it is difficult to say.
