PSP: TA082 2.71 Easy downgrader released

How would I go about doing this if I have 2.60? Is it possible to upgrade just to 2.71? Also once I get to 1.5 can I then upgrade to any firmware version to play homebrew games or use the PS1 emulation?

yes you upgrade just get it in internet then download the 2.71 upgrade and the downgrader and there you have it

Ok, despite all your help, my n00bness has prevailed. when I go to images (where HEND is supposed to be) it says they're is nothing there, and when I go to game (where the 1.5 update is supposed to be I think) I go to Memory Stick and it says 'Corrupted Data'. I want hombrew, really really f**king bad I need help.
I'm going to format my memory stick, can someone please walk me through every step as if I were a 5 year old. I really need some one to tell me EXACTLY what to do. But thank you to chameleon, you tried you're best, I'm just not PSP savvy enough for that guide.

Thanks for the warning, but as I said the READMEs aren't helping I must be doing something fundamentally wrong. If you don't want to help then don't just don't talk $#@! on the internet like your hard or something.... bitch.

you should have a tiff in the photo folder just click on the folder anyway, it may take a few times to try it because it is very very unstable

once you get tiff done that should fix the corrupt data thing


and to that other dude nowhere did he talk about piracy, just homebrew... not that other word we dont like to use, and if you dont want to help people dont post PERIOD!!!!!

Ok, well I think I have progressed a little. I think my mistake is somewhere In me moving the files to my PSP. Here's what is happening now, on the photo icon on the xmb, when I enter that I see a folder called HEND but when I open it my PSP freezes and I have to take out and reinsert my battery. When it freezes, I can see two icons, one says RAND and it looks like a 'fuzzy screen' from a tv and the other is the photo icon with a refresh looking icon behind it. In the game folder, under the memory stick icon, I see two options, one says 1.5 enabler, but whenever I try to run it it goes through and says "The game could not be started. (80020148)". The second icon says PSP Update ver X.YZ, I haven't tryed opening this one out of fear of bricking. So based on that, can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

you cant run anything unless you see the photo pop up keep trying like i said its very unstable... and once you think you have seen it pop up run the downgrader

this may take several tries to accomplish but just keep trying

the PSP Update ver X.YZ is what downgrades after u enable the tiff this is what u must click on and than it will start to downgrade

I'll keep trying, but I'm pretty sure that I somehow copied it on to my PSP wrong because, everytime I try to open it, the PSP freezes and it's really frustrating. Also what is a "tiff"?
