cool, pity the lineup is lacking non-mario N64 titles thou
The Japanese Virtual Console lineup has the American and European ones squarely beaten, and it keeps on getting better! Today, Nintendo Japan announced part of its January lineup for the system. Two words: Mario Kart. Or, if you like, four words: Mario Kart and Fire Emblem. Actually, six words: Mario Kart, Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus.
Here's a look at what's new for January over in Japan:
FAMICOM TITLES
Ikki (500 points)
Ice Climber (500 points)
Zelda II: Adventures of Link (500 points)
Kid Icarus (500 points)
SUPER FAMICOM TITLES
Fire Emblem Seisen no Keifu (900 points)
NINTENDO 64
Mario Kart 64 (1000 points)
MEGA DRIVE
Bonanza Bros. (500 points)
Gain Ground (500 points)
PC ENGINE
Alien Crush (500 points)
R-Type II (500 points)
Soldier Blade (500 points)
Moto Roader (500 points)
Quite the list, and there could be more in store for January alone. Let's hope Nintendo, Sega and Hudson are good enough to bring a few of these our way.

They can take their Mario kart and shove it unless it's online playable. I wasn't fond of the Mario Kart 64 at ALL on the 64, so I'm not the least bit bothered about it on Wii.
If it was playable against 7 other people online however, my tune would change.
i cant for the life of me see why they cant release them all now....
its not like there in dev or anything.
especially the nintendo ones, like zelda etc
maybe they have to get rights for the other n64 ones but there is no excuse for not releasing all of the ones they made.
pisses me off quite a bit, making us wait forever to get games that are finished and waiting![]()
lol i havent bought anything off the vc, because i have all my original consoles with the games on anyway, so why would i spend out more money on something i already have. I would definatly buy mario kart 64 if it was online, but if its the same ill stick with the original 64 version.
