Honestly, I tried doing it manually...spent a couple hours reading & researching, but there seems to be a lack of a good step by step direction for someone who is a complete newb to PSPs, specifically on how to operate HEN-D...and it's not like I'm computer illiterate by any stretch...

So perhaps I'm just one of the lucky ones, but the DGer worked first try...

Well, the easy downgrader has less chance of bricking. The thing that probably happened is that the person didn't run the idstoragechange... I've seen it happen, even when I specifically instructed someone to use it.

Ofcourse it works, or else they wouldn't release it and say it was tested by chaos zero and other people like that.

My brother got a psp. It is TA-82 and 2.71

On the box it says WS259 and letter box I

That is a proven fact that it shoud be NON TA-82 and 2.60 firmware.

Anyone know why he got a TA-82

    You can still install it.....

I did it for my friend from school http://files.filefront.com//;6399703;;/ thats all u need of 3.02oe a but remeber it does work but every time you flash there is a chance of bricking and I am not responsable for what you do just drop the file in the game folder and run it like normal homebrew and your on your way.
