You have landed up with a brick. The only way to get it fixed is to send it back to Sony if it is still under warranty. Another way is to get a modchip but only if your PSP motherboard isn't a TA-082.
I bought a white PSP in Japan this summer and it has worked out great, until something went wrong during a firmware update.
Now it doesn't start at all, but the battery light is ok =)
Is there a way to insert the original firmware or to something, come on guys help me out here.

sony = crap, cuz sony dont do $#@! to help you fix your psp. you have to have a custom fw or modchip to fix, and those are definatly not made my sony
apple = not crap, cuz if you brick an ipod, you can use the new itunes to restore it.
i wish it was that way for sony..
